This year the UNESCO Clubs Movement in Trinidad & Tobago plans to have another Sports & Family day in November "United We Sport" in keeping with this year's theme. Last year a group of zealous young people formed a sport committee organizing a wonderful sports day at the Eddie Hart grounds on UNESCO Clubs Day.
Special Thanks To: The Red Cross Society; The Mounty Police Division, The EMA, Consumer Affairs, Hallelujah Music School and Music 'n' More Summer Camp. The UNESCO Clubs Federation also wishes to thank the above for their contributions towards making the event the success it was!
Please note that there are three additional events being planned in celebration of the year:
- “Jump Rope for Heart” A healthy lifestyle project focusing on developing healthy habits among children at primary and secondary school levels, including special schools for persons with disabilities.
- International Sport and Physical Education Convention (end of September 2005).
- As manager for the Australian Caribbean Community Sport Development Program, Trinidad and Tobago Alliance for Sport and Physical Education (TTASPE) is disseminating information about the International Year for Sport and Physical Education 2005 to the regional counterparts.
